went to RS yesterday they only had 2ch switches...would need 3 ...... got 3 "Y" type audio jacks (red + wht tips)...plugged the dvd & the sacd into the 5.1 jacks on my pre/pro & tried both....doesn't sound very good....had to max out the volume on the pre/pro to come close to ref levels....much louder & more dynamic with direct connection.........I'm beginning to think a decent set of interconnects are in order.................i would actually need 5 sets of 6......& a 25' sub-woofer cable....would cost me more than i have into my speakers...... :(.....any new pre/pros w/ 2 sets of 5ch in?

thank you for your time

If I understand you right you were running the Y adaptors into your prepro? If so, that probably wouldn't sound great.

This is an alternative to the RS switcher

It has 3 RCS inputs, so you would need two.

The Sony TAP-9000ES and the Yamaha DSPE-492 both have two sets of 5.1 inputs. No longer mase, but can be found used.
