.5" x 1" dark smudges on new 52g787

There is a dark smudge on the upper right quadrant of my new set and another smudge nearer to the center. The color/etc is fine and it's not dead pixels. The smudge in the upper right quadrant is substantially darker.

Problem is more noticeable when anything bright is displayed in the area(white especially), but is there in darker scenes too.

Almost like a small smudge on the lens/mirror, or dust/particulates perhaps?

It's not the outside of the screen as it's "brand new clean". A technician told me that sometimes moisture can end up between the two panels used for the screen and can cause this sort of issue.

Any of you seen something like this before?

This is certainly a possibility. If you press on the screen in the affected areas does the smudge dissipate for a time? This suggests moisture between the two screens. Or if the smudge moves when you press on it, then there could be a film or particles on the mirror or main lense.

I have seen the same smudges on my JVC 56"G886. I have noticed that its worse when the room temp is cold. I had a post on this not too long ago, and was told that its just the screen material itself. I can get rid of mine by taking a SOFT cloth and wiping down the screen. I have not seen them on mine for about a month now. Its not a problem, I think they all tend to get them from time to time. I have about 600 hours on my set and all is great. I love this TV.

Indeed, the smudges didn't move with the screen.

Smudges are now 100% gone. The cause was particulates(dust) on the lens. After removing them the picture is like it should be. :)
