50" 1080P Flat Panel - Does it exist yet?

I'd also like 2 HDMI ports, a qam tuner and a cable card slot.

Plasma or LCD - does my dream HDTV exist yet?

In the meantime, I'm looking at the Sony SXRD 50" model, which is a bit bulky...

Pioneer's 50" 1080P plasma is coming out this Summer. $10k

Supposively, it won't have a tuner.

Um... so your dream tv doesn't exist yet... but there's something close.
hitachi is suposed to come out this fall. When is the panasonic coming out?
sony x series 52" 1080p lcdtv, august release.
Any guesses when they will cost less than $3000? :D

The Westinghouse 1080P 42" is only $2500, 50" isn't a *huge* step up in size....
The Sharp 57" Aquos LCD seems to almost (only has 1 HDMI) fit your requirements - if you have a budget of $15K...

OneCall claims to have it in stock.

for just 10k? F-that. lol If i had 10k to blow it certainly wouldnt be on an HD set. I'd pay off my vehicle. Thats ridiculous? Do they actually expect the general populaion to see a justification in price to product? I could get 4 42" HD plasmas for that cost. The only difference between these 1080p plasmas and gas prices is that im not forced to buy the plasma, thank god.
60+" Plasma market = but 1% of the PDP market but this TV at less than $10K MSRP will actually be a bargain and since it has next to no competition it will sell at that price margin as they are aiming at the top 10% or so of consumer income brackets and for them on a world market that = plenty of consumers to afford this thing especially early adopters and they'll be bringing out the 103" before Christmas but no MSRP yet.

This is why RPTV will continue to sell since you could acquire 2-3 for the price of an equivalent FP. I suspect if it MSRP's but streets 20% lower a market will develop.

It is a beauty and it wasn't all that long ago the 65" Onyx was selling for over $20K and this thing should be superior to it. The 58" will be a bargain though. :D
I was hoping Panasonic would make their planned 58" 1080p - more affordable than the 65" and big enough for me.
