The problem: DVArchive is working beautifully on my desktop to/from my 5040. No issues there. However, laptop cannot communicate with the 5040 (but sees the desktop DVA no problem.) The errors I'm getting are:

My system is setup this way: Linksys WRT54G 802.11g router, hard-wired to desktop (192.168.1.100). Replay (192.168.1.102, static) plugged into Motorola WE800G wireless bridge. Laptop using Linksys WPC54G wireless-g PCMCIA card. Laptop and desktop are communicating with each other fine. No firewall software on either PC. uPNP turned on on both computers. Windows XP on both. Nothing running on port 80 on the laptop that I'm aware of.

What am I missing?

Thanks in advance!

Make sure that the router:

1. isn't blocking uPNP

2. isn't routing port 80 to a specific IP address

I had problem #2 above and once I tweaked my router everything worked fine.

Be really, really sure you don't have ad blocker, pop-up blocker, web accelerator, child protection, virus protection, personal firewalls, etc running. Sometimes these things are running and you may not know it.

Also try hard wiring the laptop - rule out a wireless to wireless problem. Sometimes when you have two wireless links in a path, they conflict with each other (especially in this case where you are going from the laptop to the AP to the the RTV, back to the AP and back to the laptop).
