5040 NVSD blue screen. I've done just about everthing i can think of;

1. unplug wait

2. soft reset

3. ground rf

4. ground all motherboard connect from power supply

5. clear all channels about 3 times

6. factory reset twice 382 zones

I get a video screen for about 2-4 seconds then it stops (freeze) then NVSD.

Is it the mother board or powersupply?

If i buy a new motherboard what would be the steps to install with my lifetime activation?plug and play

The problem might be poor connection of the 12 wire power supply to motherboard connector. Try removing then reinstalling it. Also check for 34 VDC between the red wire and any of the black wires.

If the voltage is good, the problem should be software corruption or a bad motherboard. Should you get the motherboard from me, its lifetime activation will be retained.
