I will be purchasing a new LCD TV by next weekend. As of now I'm still trying to figure out what size is best. I will be moving in to a new place which is smaller so I'm looking to see what you guys think about size. I will be sitting about 9 feet away. Now I know that 52" will be fine, and probably even 55" will be fine, but is a 60" TOO big from about 9 feet away? I would think that it would be just a tad too big, but should be ok overall. Any thoughts on this? Is 55" the best balance?

Right now I am considering the ln52b750(seems like the best LCD for the money at the moment), the 55b8000, sony 52nx800, LG 55lh90 and the sony 60nx700. Also would consider the b8500 if the price would come down just a bit. What do people think of the size/set I should go with? I'm a bit of a perfectionist as I'm sure many people here are, and am having a hard time not only deciding on the size since I haven't really sat this close before, but also picking one of these sets since they all seem to have some kind of pro/cons. Any help would be appreciated.

The quality of your source material will make a difference. If you do a lot of DVD/BluRay a bigger screen will be advantageous. However, if you watch cable TV, Poor quality cable signal = smaller. Good qualitiy cable signal = larger.

Don't forget the biggest regret people have is NOT getting the biggest screen that they can afford and that fits their viewing space.
