I just got a 5540 from amazon and show/nav doesn't work on any show(works fine on the other RTV's), I haven't let it do a software upgrade yet since I was hoping to get ca/ivs from it, but maybe a software upgrade will fix it. I have it setup to do ca and ivs now, but ca's not working and IVS doesn't seem to be(ivs tester works, but no one can send me a show).

What version of software does it have? You can see it if you go to 411-zones. It sounds like it's pre-190, which didn't have show|nav.

The software version that comes preinstalled on the 5504 doesn't have Show|Nav. This was added in one of the first software updates that came out for this model.

Well yesterday it did a netconnect and dl'd the new software, but its not booting too it. I ran the no software wirns plugin in and no software dl shell cmd before, is that somehow stopping the new software from taking? I'm not using wirns anymore so I'm assuming it should do it automatically. The software version is 53050110. It also says pcb serial missing on the 411 screen, not sure if that would have anythingto do with it.

It still hasn't setup with the new software it prompted me b4 a reboot saying it was going to apply it, but its still the same after the reboot. Any Ideas?

You will have to record a show with the new software before it will work. Shows recorded before the software upgrade won't exhibit this behavior.

I have used new recordings, 411 zones says is still using the old software also.
