I came across an open box 55LHX that is the same price as 55LH90. There is very little info on the LHX (including the user thread which only has 7 pages compared to the 1000s for other product lines) while the LH90 is highly regarded. I was going to wait for the new (2010) models to come out, but seeing the 55LHX at anexcellent price made me think about buying now. Any thoughts? Thanks

Little info but I'm almost certain the LHX is better because it has more zones (240 vs 80). Plus it's more aesthetically pleasing.

I would get the LHX.

I have tried searching - but without finding any real info.

What are the differences between the 55LHX and 55LH90? Some links/sources for the details would be great....

Edit I would also like to compare with a 55LE8500 (which I trying to decide if I'll keep) which evidently has 240 zones http://reviews.cnet.com/2300-6482_7-10002941-20.html

The Dynamic contrast on the LHX should be 5,000,000:1

I have the LHX myself and had the LH90, both were 55"

The LHX has much deeper blacks than even the VT panny plasmas have.

This is not by measurment but by comparison.

I recently checked out the newer XBR 52" sonys and with 2d they do not come close to my LHX. I have had it now for 3 months and the picture is fantastic!
