Just got my 563A today connected it to my adcom 740 pre/pro by coaxial and got no sound. Good picture but no sound. The only way I can get sound is if I switch to another source, vcr, cd etc, and then switch back to DVD on the adcom, then I have sound and no problems. I had an old pioneer DV414 before that did not have this problem. Anyone else experience this or is there a setting on the 563 that I didn't set. Thanks all.

Just double check all the settings in the setup menus. There is a lot to see and do in there........

It sounds like you just missed something somewhere.

Tried every combination. Still can't get it to go on without switching away from DVD source and then back. Once it's on it's fine. Maybe it's my old Adcom. Strange because it works with my old DV414 player.

Yeah I am having the same problem. I think it is the settings. Will look more into it this weekend. I don't have surround sound or anything. Just the speakers on the TV.
