...you know, you might try this. Turn off the tv and the 5900. Then turn on the tv FIRST and then turn on the 5900 afterward. I read somewhere on one of the L O N G 5900 threads, it may have something to do with HDCP handshake. This always work with my HS20 and 5900, no complaints at all...

Originally posted by Shag1077 I would REALLY APPRECIATE anyhelp I can get on this issue I just got my 5900 back from Denon repair after being there for TWO MONTHS for a bad DVI upgrade I performed. Well, the unit came back with the DVI supposedly activated. I switched the modes to verify this and turned DVI output to 720 and black levels to enhanced.I am under the impression that these options would not show if the DVI was not activated. I hooked the 5900 to my Samsung 617W, through DVI, and the screen read "No SIgnal". I verified it was not the tv at fault by connecting my satellite receiver to the tv's DVI and all was well. Also, there is not light saying "DVI" lit on the front of my 5900, which I have read there should be. Any help would be GREAT!!! I have waited so long to watch movies and now this!! THANK YOU!! -Jesse |
