IS this cable good for a 75 foot run..Monoprice is sold completly and I have to move om and get all my wiring installed before the projector arrives ( sp 8602)

So much confusion about the simple things rg6 or rg59

braided shielded copper etc......Which is the best and who would have it....Under $ 40.00...

Which cable should I use.

Virtually ANY coax cable will work for a sub run.
That cable definately lokos nice, but it doesnt way much about the internals.

But yes, it will work fine for a 70' cable run.
if you happen to have a roll of rg59 lying around, cut a piece to the length you need, terminate it with rca plugs and you'll be set to go...
Thanks for your reply. I appreciate it thtas exactly what I will do would rg6 be better than rg 59....For the 70 foot run.
For a long un-balanced audio cable, I would always chose a co-ax with a heavy braided shield (i.e. most copper). This will help cut down ground loops.

Won't make any difference at that length. But I used RG6 quad shield for a similar run, just in case.

Quad shield is best when used for "over the air" or cable TV signals. The quad shield is designed for very high frequency RF signals. A cable with a heavy single or double braided shield is better for audio.
as others have said, good ol' rg59 is more than adequate for the application at hand... i've never had any problems using whatever i had lying around...

ymmv, of course...

I completely agree! But if I had to order some cable and pay for it, I would look for cable with a heavy shield.
