I have a 23 year old Mitsubishi 60" with 3 CRT"s mounted on a metal chassis in a big wood cabinet, not used for 5+years. I have started to dismantle it (cabinet, screen, mirror) to get it out of the house. The service manual instructs on removal of the CRT chassis and, doesn't mention High Voltage warnings until after the CRT chassis is removed for additional service work. Is there any precaution I need to take for safe removal of the chassis or, other parts?

If you don't plug the set in the main things that you have to worry about are the CRTs, which are glass and the necks are fragile, and the sharp edges on some of the metal frame. Any charge would probably have dissipated by now.
