Last night, after noticing that a recording timer did not work, I checked to see that the 6000 was correctly controlling my VCR. It wasn't.

This function had worked perfectly for many months (except for the recent 989 channel change bug). The 6000's IR emitter seemed to be very powerful, apparantly blasting the whole room and easily controlling the VCR.

But now, my 6000's IR emitter seems to have lost its stuff. I can make it operate the VCR, but only after placing the 6000 and the VCR head-to-head. Has anyone else observed this problem?

My 6000 is just past 1-yr warranty (of course), but maybe the IR extender mouse would solve the problem (?). Anyone use this? Where would I get one?
