I know the leaked 6071 diden't fix the gamma issue but could someone check this one out. Stephen Orr did just state that the gamma fix was in a new driver going through whql on 5/02/02 ( http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...ighlight=gamma ).
If you read the thread Mr. Orr has been commenting in, you see that he states that these drivers lack the fix, but the next release (I'm not entirely sure that it's the next release) will have the fix. They're currently putting the drivers with the fix through the WHQL process.
I've been using these drivers on XP and haven't had any problems yet. I had some trouble with the 6025 drivers, I think it was because I'm running MMC 7.6 for TV-In (noticeably better PQ than previous versions). These new drivers also seem to work fine with TheaterTek DVD, once I reinstalled the Ravisent filters from the sub-folder under the TT folder. That's more than I could say for the 6058 or 6037 drivers, which gave TT problems.
