I have a HTPC connected via 6 channel audio (3 stereo jacks, 3ft long) out to my amp. I head a significant amount of 60Hz hum coming out of my front and center speakers when I switch over to the 6 channel source. Is there any way of removing this hum.

I have the same 60Hz problem when I hooked up my slim3 wireless client to my secondary audio setup in my living room.

Do a search here for "ground loop" and you'll find several threads that describe your problem and offer a multitude of troubleshooting ideas and possible solutions.

Thanks for the links, helzerr. I'll check the cable connection to the HTPC setup. However, I am not sure how this will apply to my second hum problem.

I have a squeeze box MP3 wireless client conencted via L/R cables to an amp and a powered subwoofer. There is no cable box connection and all the components have 2 pin power plugs. The hum is coming out of the subwooofer.
