I am getting a very big discount on SONY RPTVs. Although i like the Mits WS-65413/513, if i had to choose a sony instead, what models should i be looking at?

(only looking for 60"- 65")

Please advise.

Thanks.

The KP 65WV600 and 700 both have excellent PQ. There was "flicker" problems on the sets built in 2002 but that has not been a problem with 2003 sets. The 700 is @ $500 more but has a screen that is viewable from a wider angle. I have the 65WV600 and am very pleased. HD looks better than on my friend's 46" plasma.

new 2004 KDP-xxWS550 is nice also.

If you must look at Sony's in store, set Picture mode to Pro, turns off at least most of the artificial picture "enhancments" for component/DVI 1080i inputs, tones them down on other inputs.

WV700 Lens and anti glare are better than WV600. Same tubes I believe, have part numbers somewhere if you think I'm in error. Wouldn't be the first time. ;)

WS550 also has anti-glare. (Maybe new type of anti glare, was able to clean hand print from son's friend, did not use liquid though, just soft cloth.) Same lens and tubes as 600 I believe. Some same, some new electronics vs the WV series. Kind of a new WV, without the glass screen. Uses plastic screen.
