Well, I just measured and, allowing for speaker placement and a frame, I am limited to 65 inches in width (81" diag 4:3).

Picture should be nice and bright but, are there any pitfalls here?

My current setup is 58" wide for a ~68" diagonal.

Caveats-

-you have to sit closer :)

-focusing the corners can be more difficult

-convergence errors are easier to spot

-you may get a slight colorshift, more reddish on the right/bluish on left

-if your video system has any noise it's more visible when you sit closer

You can still get a great picture and because you are running smaller, and hence lower contrast needed, the image has more color density or "punch".

I'm running a 72" diag Cinema Vision 1.3 gain screen with my NEC 9PG plus and love it. Very bright and crisp picture. Makes the largest store bought RPTV, including plasma look like crap. HDNET looks like high your looking out your window.

I really should proof read what I'm typing when I take a phone call in the middle of responding to a post.

my current setup is 88x66(108 diagonal) just depends on how big your wall is, if my wall would be bigger i would max the whole thing out however if space is an issue then go for what ever works for you..........
