I has a 20"width x 24" Length theater room that is current framed up. I am putting the wiring in. I was thinking of doing a 7.1.2 Atmos setup.

I have windows on one side of the room and was thinking of placing the side speakers in the ceiling as well as the rear surround speakers. Is this going to be ok?

Currently thinking of using Klipsch R-625FA fronts, Klipsch Center and Monoprice (Carbon or ribon) ceiling speakers for side and rear surround. Do any of you think the Monoprice in wall speakers will match ok with the Klipsch?

It will be okay but I did the same thing and ultimately switched to a 5.2.4 setup and changed those rear surrounds to atmos since they are overhead anyway. I would suggest going that route setup wise. I personally have all klipsch but I am sure itll be fine mixing in monoprice for the surrounds or atmos if you go that route

Will make it pointless to do Atmos. The whole point of Atmos (and DTS:X) is to separate sounds around you versus sounds above you. How will that be possible when ALL the surround speakers are in the ceiling, just like the height speakers?

Is Atmos worth the extra trouble?
Only IF you can get separation between the base layer and height layer. Imagine someone asked you if it was worth going 7.1 even though they would have to place the Rear speakers right next to the Side speakers. Without any separation between Sides and Rears, what's the point of having 4 surround speakers? Similarly, unless you can lower your 4 surround speakers, even down to a couple feet above seated ear height, you won't benefit from Atmos.
