Hi. I'm going to be mounting the rears of my Athena Micras pretty soon, and I was wondering if it is really neccessary to mount them three feet above ear level? Because I have noticed that when these speakers aren't directly level with your ear, the sound suffers a lot. If I *do* have to put them that high, should I point them down towards the listening area? Thanks

There is nothing that requires you to mount them at 3'. Try them out at different heights before you mount them. I think you will be satisfied with them at ear level if that is what you are considering. My (considerably larger) rear speakers are on the floor, in back of the seating area and pointed more or less toward it. And I am happy with the results.

I have a set of Micra's . . . what do you mean the sound suffers alot? Mine are about 6' off the floor . . . to compensate for the risers in the back of the room. They have great sound for me.
