7/2100 7-Channel

Home Theatre Amplifier

Any opinons good or bad on this amp? I can get one for a great price but can't find much information. Any idea how it measures? THD, Crosstalk, S/N ratio, etc?

Thoughts?

- Use search button

- It's great Amp, according to people who bought it.

- 5 channel older version is reviewed on www.audioholics.com

- 7/2100 review should be posted on the same site soon

- People say it's underrated @ 200x7, it is more like 225Wattsx7

- It's around $2000 or so..

- it uses 2 power cords

- Once u use search button, u will find an AUTHORIZED distributor of Sherbourn Amps..

- www.sherbourn.com has the info u requested

Good luck..

I'm confused. I thought retail was $2,800? Is that incorrect?

I found a dealer w/ a NIB 7 channel amp for $1850. Seems like a good price.

What do you think?

Of course! However, what is retail?

I would like opinions on purchasing this or a Parasound 2205. Would I be much better off with the extra 2 channels to bi-amp my fronts? Does one run cooler than the other? The amp would be in a moderate sized enclosed space (20"x21"x20") by itself.

I purchased the Sherbourn for my dedicated HT which is still being built.

I don't have it hooked up yet, but for the money, based on the specs and reviews, it should not disappoint!

It weighs in at a respectable 115 pounds! 7 monoblocks, and 7 seperate transformers!

Are you saying the Sherbourn 7/2100 is packed in 30 pounds of boxing material?!

I don't think so!

although this isn't true, it sure would be a great idea given how rough UPS and FedEx are on heavy packages...

I agree Mad Dog!

When I received my 7/2100, the box was pretty beat up! It even had a couple of holes in it.

Luckily, the Sherbourn 7/2100 is double boxed and packed very well!

I just got somy Bryston AMPS (6B SST & 9B SST THX) and they were packaged very, very well with plenty of protective foam. They are both very heavy amps as well. They were not double boxed but they were well packaged. Mind you, they didn't go very far since I am only an hour or so away from my dealer and Bryston.

I don't like it when I get boxes that have even a little tear in them. It always makes me wonder and until I start using the product I simply cannot relax. Knock on wood!!! Good Luck everybody!!!
