i would like to know how to power a set of 7 speakers with one of two amps. one amp is the pioneer 56txi receiver (110x7), the other is a similar model. maybe i could just run two sets of speaker wire to each speaker. i think i heard that thats a bad idea though. because if both receivers were on at the same time for some stupid reason, things would get damaged. maybe what i need is a 7 channel A/B switch. preferably IR controllable. i looked at xantech and speakercraft. i dont think that either company has what im looking for...

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Huh. Why would you want to do that?

You could get a sort of reverse speaker selector switch (they exist, really!) and get enough of them to do all 7 channels.

Or get bananas and just swap them out when you want.
