Has anybody had the this problem with the Infocus 7200....

My projector has 130 hours on it and the last 2 times I used it it just shuts down after about 3 hours of use.

I wait about a minute and hit the power button and it comes back on.

It is ceiling mounted and nothing is blocking the air vents. Before I loaded v3.7 software it never shut down .

Is this a possible software glitch?

maybe it is the timer/auto power save setting.

or maybe it's the sleep timer box is checked, although the sleep timer is 4 hours.

Hmm, I didn't have that exact problem happen too me, but last week, mine did something pretty odd.. It has around 950 hours, an never had a hint of a problem.


The PJ had been on less than 5 minutes when I heard a click, an all went dark. I stare at it a awhile, maybe 10 second, and saw the lamp lighting back up. It lite back up fine, and the picture was normal, but only stayed on about 5 seconds before going dark again.


Then the lamp lite back up once again, this time there was no video, but it stayed lite, but the PJ was locked up.


At that time of course I pulled the plug, waited about a minute, tried it again, and its been working fine ever since. I've been expecting it to do that again, but so far it hasn't. I did have to wonder what caused that to happen though, no doubt something inside the PJ.


I didn't want to have a failure within 6 months, but maybe it was just one of those things that electronics do, for no reason..


Has anyone else ever had that exact problem, and later had to get the PJ repaired?

The sleep timer was in fact checked off!!!
