Hi All,

I am looking for opinions about this. I am planning on making a dedicated home theater in my new home. Right now my choice's for display are a Sony VPL-51 front projector or one of the new 1080P RPTV's from Samsung (71" of course). With the Sony I think I could project around 90 to 120" picture. So, is quantity (size) better than quality? Any thoughts would be appreciated more than you can imagine. Thanks

Definitely go with a FP for a dedicated room, but you will have to have some light control.

What size is the room?

Absolutely front projection... that RPTV is tiny by comparison. You'll barely tell the difference in resolution, but the size difference will be obvious. It'll also be cheaper, so you can spend more on other equipment, acoustic treatments, etc.
