I was all set to get the Epson Home Cinema 720 projector, but then I found out that it doesn't do the vertical stretch. And I really don't want to spend $1K on a scaler.


Can I get some recommendations on good 720p projectors that will be comparable to the Epson?

I've the same problem, but unfortunately, i already owe the TW-700

Have a look on the Panasonic PT-AX200 projector. Pretty good thing and able to do the vertical stretch.

Mitsubishi HC1500 does vertical stretch - BUT ONLY ON NON-HD SOURCE MATERIAL!

I have the Panasonic AX100 and it works great.

checkout Optoma HD65. It does the vertical stretching, and will give the HC1500 a run for it's money in the brightness dept

My Optoma 79HD (720p) does.I think it was about $1,000.00 referb on ebay.

Another vote for the Panny AX200! I am very happy with the picture and find the contrast very respectable for the price. Besides, it is **really bright!**
