82" plus TV Rec

Looking for some opinions for 82"+ TVs for my media room. Have been looking at either the Samsung 82" Q90 & Q900, Sony 85" 950. What else should I be considering in the sub $6K range for great 4K picture and watching sports, 82" minimum size? I am moving up from an LG 65" OLED so need something that will come close to performing similar. Their 77" just isn't quite big enough.

I like samsung tv's...I dont care for LG electronics mainly for customer service. if spending up to 6000 dollars I would really look at 75 oled. I would go sony if oled.

Get the Samsung 82ru800 from Costco and save 4 grand.

All have wide viewing angle technology sacrificing a little contrast. Q90 and X950G should fall short of an OLED, especially if your OLED was viewed in a dark room. The Q900 will come the closest, but at a substantial cost for something that is a little early to the 2.1 game. Also, if it's important, Samsung doesn't do Dolby Vision.

In a darker room, Samsung Q90 or Q900 would likely edge out the Sony X950G.

Re straight-on viewing with better contrast in variable lighting, and Dolby Vision, Sony X900F 85" would be a good consideration. Accurate color, great motion for sports. Currently $3498 at B&H Photo, may be cheaper elsewhere.

As with all, your eyes rule. Good luck, have fun with whatever you choose.:)
I just picked up the 82" Q80 at BB for $3499, and opened up a store credit card where if you pay in full within 30 days, you get 10% off which prices it out around $3150. The wide angle and anti reflective screen is great for me (I have a lot of light coming into the room.) I watch a lot of sports on cable and find it great for that purpose, especially after I turned off all of the motion enhancement settings.

While the Q90 is better, it wasn't $1500 better for what I was looking for, which is primarily sports and regular network programming.
