Anyone know why 888 + Zones does not work on my Panasonic PV-SS2710 TV/HDR combo? It only has software version 2.2 - Build 20.


I was able to upgrade the units hard drive to 120gb... gonna try to go dual in a month or so when I get another $169 to buy another drive.

Possible reasons:


1) May have been added in 3.0

2) You may not be doing it right or in the right place (do it while watching a show or live TV)

3) It's not very important and no real reason to do it

The software for the TV/ReplayTV units have not been upgraded beyond 2.2 and you're looking for a feature that is in 3.0. I spoke with Panasonic and there is no planned update for that model. Although, I have seen recent upgrades to the Comcast and AT&T units' software. Keep an eye out for the upgrades. Use 411 zones every so often to see if you get your upgrade.

It's for replacing with the Macrovision Hack thats why I was asking about it... but it isnt very important like you said
