I'm in the Detroit area trying to pick up 8VSB digital stations over time warner cable using a DST3000 STB. I can get PBS, CBS, and FOX at times. The performance on the 8VSB stations is spotty at best. I had digital cable for a short period of time, and that seemed to work great, so I ASSUMED my cable would be ok (regardless of cable type).

I think the cable actually running to my TV is RG-57. I can't really tell without ripping the wall apart though. Would this make a difference for a short run (less then 10 feet). Could this be causing my problems? Digital cable seems to work fine so I figured the cabling is ok? Do you think I need to try and replace it? I'm trying to determine if the problem receiving HD stations is on my end or TW's.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

--Mike
