92"-106" pulldown screen recommendation?

My viewing distance from the screen is an average of 145" (130"-160"). From what I hear/read, 1.5-2.0X the viewing distance is recommended for screen width. That means I should go with a screen width 72-96."

So, I'm looking at 2 pulldown screens now (room logistics won't allow a fixed, can't afford a motorized). One is a 106" diagonal (92x52) available for just under $300--made by Panoview, rebadged as Optoma. The other is a 92" diagonal (80x45) just under $200--badged as Infocus, but I've heard it's made by Draper. I don't know what the gain is on either screen. I'm confident the PJ I have on order (4805) will handle well any size in the range I'm talking.

I welcome any pulldown screen suggestions!!! I want a good quality screen for a reasonable price.

Thanks,

Heather

I would recommend looking towards a screen made by one of the major screen companies, such as Dalite or Draper. That way you can be sure to get a good one. I might suggest something like the Dalite Model B. It is a good basic manual pulldown. Depending on the mateiral, a 45"x80" would run you about $120ish on up to low $200's, and the 52"x92" would run about $150ish to mid $200's. These have excellent feedback here on the forum as well.

Drop me a line if you would like to discuss specifics on them.
