I just received my 942 last night. During the installation I connected the included diplexer to attach my input satellite signal to both satellite imputs on the back of the 942. I keep receiving an error when doing the check dish. I am using a DP34 switch and Dish* rep told me that I would need to swap out the dp34 and my lnb for dishpro plus (dp44 switch and dpp lnb twin) equipment to make it work.

- Is this correct?

- Will this impact my legacy receivers?

I ended up not using the splitter and only using the input for satellite one for a bandaid.

Thanks!

Yes, it's correct.

Not sure about your other receivers. Depends upon whether or not they are DP compatible.

NO! NO! NO!. You are asking for trouble if you only connect one feed to the 942. It may work initially, but you will have significant problems before too long. Read Mark's report in the dbstalk.com forum in the 942 section. One feed is a big NO NO.
