There's a review on TomsHardware with the 9500, 9500Pro, 9700, 9700Pro.
The only difference between a 9700 and 9500Pro is that the 9700 has 2x's the number of interconnects for memory, meaning 256bit vs 128bit. Other than that, it's the same exact card. Unless you're playing games on it, there will be no difference in PQ. Only speed in game playing on the PC.
Interesting! I'm thinking about upgrading my trusty ATI Radeon 7000. I use a Barco Graphics 808 CRT proj, will this be a step up in PQ, or is there no significant difference? I don't care about the latest games, the games I'm still trying to find time to complete are HalfLife and Return to Castle Wolfenstein (mostly for nostalgic reasons, I loved the original when it came out (yes, I'm old!)).
According to Anandtech, the 9500 Pro that is now shipping is not the same as the 9700 Pro - ATI is shipping a redesigned board. Whether this means that 9500 Pro has a different PQ than the 9700 is the question...
