They're both current models. One thing to be careful of with the 9800's is that some are 128bit and some are 256bit. If you don't play games then 128MB is fine, just make sure you get the 256bit memory bus.
9800 PRO 128MB vs. 256MB
Is there a difference between the 9800 PRO 128MB and the 256MB flavors? ATI's site lists the 128MB as a "current" card and the 256MB as an "existing" card. Does the 128MB version have any advantages over the 256MB? I can actually find the 256MB card for less than the 128MB. I don't do any gaming, so that doesn't matter to me, but if I'm going to spend $200+ on a video card, I'd like it to be the latest of the series.
