The CAT drivers are XP drivers, hence only work once your OS is loaded. So what ever you set in the CP will not affect what is displayed during boot or while in the BIOS menu. You have to live with whatever ATI has set the card to - unfortunately.

The VGA monitor is set as Primary through the Catalyst (4.5) control panel. During boot I can only see the bios boot process if I turn on my projector connected via DVI. Once Windows intializes I can see the desktop on my VGA connected monitor. It seems that the Catalyst software is not really setting the firmware on the Atlantis 9800 Pro board to tell it that the VGA is primary. If I remove clone mode and disconnect the DVI cable, the VGA connector will become the true primary and display the boot cycle correctly. How can I fix this behavior? -Stuarts |
