I don't see any audio outputs.


What are possible solutions for him?

Does the TV have any other ports? There may be an optical or digital-coax output somewhere (intended to connect the TV to an A/V receiver) that you could use with headphones.


How does he get sound into the TV? Does he only use the internal tuner and have no other external devices?

Check the manual to see what features are available through the SCART plug

The latest HD displays in the USA and Europe no longer have analog L/R audio outputs. Also by the end of this year (2010), the same will be true for the category of Blu-ray players, no more analog audio or video outputs.


We are moving into an HD/HDMI world..
