I just got this scaler with an sdi card in it for $100
and I just sold my extron to repair the iSCAN HD+, and I am hoping that it will be worth all the trouble I went through.

So my question is does anyone own one and are you happy with it.

I will be using it for my sd sat pvr and my Oppo 980H via hdmi to dvi.

depends on which model extron it is. If I recall many of them did not do 3:2 pull down. So it would great for video but not movies.

The HD+, especially with SDI, is still a nice scaler for film content. It has obvious flaws in it's video deinterlacing though. So, depending on your viewing portfolio, you might gain quite a boost in quality (movie DVDs), but don't expect miracles on video (sports on TV).

I had a dv204 and it was a nice scaler , but I came by the DVDO iSCAN HD+for $100

which is a no brainer and a Denon 1600 practically for nothing but the scaler needed some repairs .

So I sold my extron on the E-bay and used the money to fix the iSCAN which I want to use with the denon with regular dvds and my D*sh pvr ,

So hopefully I got a good deal.
