I currently use a Gefen Toolbox 8x8 HDMI matrix. It generally works well. I would like to upgrade to a rackmount 8x8 HDMI matrix with more features. Specifically, I want SPDIF audio extraction to feed my whole home audio matrix switch.

I came across the A-NeuVideo HD-88LA matrix, which is available for about $1500. It is a 1U unit with EDID management and SPDIF audio extraction, RS-232, IR, and LAN control. Basically, just what I need.

HDTV Supply carries it here: http://www.hdtvsupply.com/8-8-hdmi-matrix-switcher.html

They don't say A-NeuVideo, but I'm pretty sure that's what it is. Note that you can "upgrade" to a 4K version on HDTVSupply, which gives you a ShinyBow part number (SB-5688AK). So, I am thinking that ShinyBow may be the OEM for both models. Shinybow also sells some A-NeuVideo equipment in their store (but not this matrix switch): http://www.shinybowusa.com/shop/index.php?manufacturers_id=11

Shinybow's 5688LCM is almost identical to the A-NeuVideo HD-88LA I am looking at, but it doesn't have audio extraction ( http://www.shinybowusa.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=50_61&products_id=263 ) -- only their 4k model has that feature (SB-5688AK). Here's a picture of the 4k Shinybow unit:

Does anyone know if A-NeuVideo manufacturers their own equipment, or if ShinyBow is the OEM?
