So I have a new focal 5.1 system which are all bookshelves and a center....I came across a pair of focal in wall speakers for $90 each new which were too good to pass up...


I would like to have a 7.1 system and use the in wall speakers as the rear surround. The way the room is setup there is no way to put them in wall.


so my stupid question is how would they sound just being the speaker like if I hang them from the ceiling by some wires or something since there is no way to actually put them in the wall....I want to keep them for if we ever move I can build my own custom room and put them in the wall then.


or should I just sell them? they are all the same line the focal chorus line so they all match.

If they cannot be in a wall, then they have to be built into boxes.

Thats what I thought thats why a dumb question...I will sell and then get another set of small bookshelves. thanks
