I'm having some trouble finding what i'm looking for, so maybe someone here could point me in the right direction.

I'm looking for a four post rack (like a network rack) that is about desk high. All I can find is four post racks that are 6+ feet high. I called someone that has a bunch of tall ones in stock, and he said that some A/V stores and what-not make these for A/V purposes. Does such thing exist?

Thanks for any help provided!

Hi,

Why not make one with MDF shelving (or nice wood or thich plexiglass) and threaded 5/8" rod like I did?

The threaded rods and nuts are available at Home Depot and in different lengths (you can even get couplers to connect multiple ones together. It allows complete flexibility and is infinitely expandable.

Enjoy!

Middle Atlantic makes racks/knockdown racks in various heights (#U). I purchased my rack and accessories from www.smarthome.com but I know there are a couple of other sites that carry MA as well, possibly at better prices.

You can select a height that suits you and even add wheels to the bottom so that you can roll it around when you need to access the rear, etc.

MM983- If your in the chicago area and have your heart set on a network rack.. I have a 6ft that you can have for free. Since its free you wont have any bad feelings about cutting it down to size..
