I'm trying to record XM Music from my HR20 receiver running through my A/V receiver to my PC. I have the satellite receiver connected to the amp via optical cable and an RCA connection from the line out on the amp to the line in on the PC. Here's the problem: I'm only getting the left stereo channel to the PC's sound card. I've tried bypassing the A/V receiver and connecting the HR20's RCA audio out directly to the PC's line in and still only get the left audio channel. I can run a cable from the amp's headphone jack to the PC and get both channels but I would rather have the line out connection to the PC for better quality. Any ideas what the problem is?

Is the PC line in a minijack? What exactly are you using to get from RCA out to line in? Because it sounds like it's not something that's 1/8" stereo to dual RCA. Or the stereo connector isn't seated firmly.
