Can anyone recommend an A/V switch for component video? I want to be able to select from 2 different component video sources and output to my projector. Do these reduce the signal quality? Thanks.

Bluearchtop,

I'm using an Extron 4-AR, which is really designed for RGB+S, but works fine to my projector for switching component video.

If you check out e-Bay, you might find a nice deal on the 2-AR .....

From there, I go with a BNC --> HD15 (VGA) cable to my projector.

Pr --> R, Y --> G, Pb --> B . Synch is in with the luma channel (Y).

I got my Extron for about US$100, and it can switch 350mHz without degradation.

Just a thought for you to consider.

I have a JVC S555 Home Theater AV switch unit. I have HDTV, DVD, VCR, and my Denon 3802 menu all connected and I notice NO compromise at all in my Sanyo XW 15 pj picture quality.
