I am in Northern California and am being blacked out of this game. Could someone outside the Northern California area tell me if the HD broadcast is originating from the Astros network?

Seems odd that DirecTV has yet to show one Giants game broadcast in HD by FSN Bay Area, even when the games are being played in San Francisco and broadcast by FSN Bay Area. DirecTV did show the Giants games broadcast in HD by FSN Bay Area last year. I'm wondering if FSN Bay Area is not under contract with DirecTV for HD broadcasts? I don't think any of the A's HD telecasts on FSN Bay Area have been show by DirecTV either.

Also wondering if the Astros are piggy backing on the Giants HD broadcast as they are both broadcasting today and Wednesday in HD, but neither is showing the game in HD tomorrow. Coincidence?

Thanks!!

Yes it is, but Houston is also showing the game in HD. Are you receiving the FSN Bay Area HD broadcast in HD on channels 95 or 731? If so, you have anwered my question regarding which FSN is showing the game.

If so, I must be blacked out because I am slightly out of the San Francisco area, which is odd because I receive the local SF channels, FSN Bay Area is my regional FSN, and I received the FSN Bay Area HD broadcasts of the Giants carried by DirecTV last year. Thanks!

Thank You Scott! At least I know I'm not being blacked out becaue of location, but I'm beginning to wonder if DirecTV is going to broadcast any of FSN Bay Areas HD games. Thanks again. Much appreciated.

Its coming in fine for me on 96 also. I am not sure why he is blacked out, especially if he had them last year. Ignore channel 95 and look for 96 in your guide. If it isn't there go into your favorites and put it back in. You missed some nice pitching by Lowry in HD.

Same story here in Reno. FSNBA local RSN for Giants, A's and Sharks I have MLB EI SF no games broadcast in HD on 730,731 or 99 or any other channel. Called D* many times they say games NOT being broadcast. Last week finally spoke to tech. and after 1/2 hr. on phone he said I should get game next time (Astro's-Giants) but still no HD game.

HD is always blacked out for me in the Bay Area (South of San Jose). I watch on FSBA channel 654.

Watch tonights game coming up. The kid pitching, Lincecum is going to be a Super-Star someday.

He looks like he's 15 and pitches like a beast.
