hi, i finally get XG1351 from my friend,he is go back his 1272Q,and waiting

G70 or 1208S.

with 1351,i want to know if i can get ACAT (automatic convergence adjustment) camera attachment from nec or other dealer.

can i put any type camera to do PC TYPE ACAT?

Hi moome,


I don't believe the NEC ACAT actually exist! Anyway it's a waste of time and money. The convergence MUST be done by hand for any tweaker.

I don't know about the 1351, but on my 852, when you select ACAT, you don't need any camera, you just do an alignment so your green is perfecty square and exactly how you want it, then converge the 14 ACAT points, then the projector does the rest. Very simple and quick, but it needs to be repeated a few times for it to take. Doug Baisey had posted a long time ago that he had a couple of ACAT cameras, but that the camera system never worked properly for him, so he didn't install any.
