As the double drywall has been sitting in the theater for too long, was hopeful to make some serious progress on finishing. Any advice on how to re-create what appears to be a random yet organized tiled panel layout as shown below? Can the panels be ordered pre-fabricated to save some time?
I'm sure there are other companies that can do custom wrapped panels but I used Kinetics. I had a good experience with them. You can give them the sizes in CAD and they will be spot on.
there are two levels of panels in that picture, first you draw it to scale then you make frames the required size, insert the appropriate acoustical material based on location and wrap with fabric and staple.
Just a FYI I am working on a theater that is based on that picture and getting ready to start the frames. One thing to keep in mind is that fabric has thickness and at corners there can be three layers. Factor that into your measurements and planning.
