Has anyone put any acoustical treatment behind your fixed projector screen?


I was thinking of adding some treatment of some kind.


Would there be much sound get through or around a FireHawk fixed screen mounted about 3.5 inches from the wall?


Any ideas?

My screen sits temporarily about 9" in front of my fireplace. With the same speaker positioning for 2 channel listening I put a 4' x 4' RPG diffractal (diffuser within a diffuser) in front of the fireplace to enhance the depth and spatiousness of the images.


With the screen in place the depth goes to hell with the screen reflections. My feeling is that the problem is the screen itself and that there is probably not much you can do behind the screen to help. If anyone has found a good solution I'd also like to hear of it.
