In case this was not discussed before:

As an experiment, I added "Disp_sharpness" to my registry which I believe controls video sharpness on a Hipix. Let me know if this works for you. I don't think "Disp_gamma" works.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\HiP ix\\ConfigInfo]

"Disp_brightness"=dword:00000105

"Disp_contrast"=dword:0000006d

"Disp_saturation"=dword:00000064

"Disp_sharpness"=dword:00000105

Another ADTV user who bites the dust and switches to the Hipix.

Is ADTV going to be remembered in PC history as a product with great potential but BLEW it?

Mike,

You made a wise choice in ditching ADTV and going with the Hipix.

Clever registry trick that I have to try out - good job.

I don't think this will work.

I went snooping arround the DLL and the EXE for the Hipix card, and while I found the strings "Disp_brightess", "Disp_contrast", and "Disp_saturation" in the DLL I did not find the string "sharp" in either the DLL or the EXE. I also searched for "gama" with no luck.

There are some other interesting things one can find by looking at the strings in these files however. There are an awfull lot of strings that contain "DVD", and hints of NTSC recording capability can be seen. So those rumers are probably true. There is also a hint of closed captioning capability, and the remote controler runs at 9600 baud.
