I have an SA Explorer 8240HDC from TWC in Raleigh, NC. I added a hard drive (Iomege DVR Expander 1TB) via eSATA cable. Everything appeared to work, I got prompted to format the drive and my capacity increased as expected. The problem though, is that nothing actually records now. I hit the Record button but nothing happens. I check the Recording Log and see "not recorded because the channel is not available (2)". If I disconnect the HD and reboot everything works fine again.

I would really appreciate any help, my wife is tired of my NASCAR recordings overwriting her episodes of True Blood!
