Adding 7.1 in Ceiling to 5.1 system

I need some opinions. I have M&K S-125s and M&K Tripoles with an MK Sub for my 5.1 system. I want to add rear surrounds to bring it up to 7.1 but cannot mount them on the rear wall (windows and drapes) or on the floor. I would like to use in-ceiling speakers but don't want to pop for the M&K in ceiling speakers because of cost. I have been looking at some Sonance 6.5 inch ceiling mounts that have direction adjustable tweeters at about $100 ea. I am using a Pioneer receiver that has the MCACC calibration so it will automatically (or manually) set the level and EQ of the speaker so that it is matched to the other speakers to the listening position. It seems to me that for the rear surrounds this should be fine. Bass is carried by the sub and the information in the rear is supplemental to the main information coming from the fronts. There is roughly 6 feet behind my prime listening position and I had planned to put 2 ceiling speakers 3 feet apart. I would appreciate any opinions on these or other ceiling mounts, keeping in mind my budget constraints.

Thanks,

Doyle

Not sure whether there are no recommendations or whether this may have been covered in a previous thread. I tried a number of searches but came up empty. If there are some threads I would appreciate a keyword to search on. I didn't even get a "this is a bad idea" post.

Thanks,

Doyle
Id be more concerned about getting a wire to the location where you want to put the speakers. If you can do it, go with the M&K's so the speakers are timbre matched and you dont have to use the EQ.
I don't think it is worth the money for you to do this. I'd stay 5.1.
