I have a Terk S-26 Phass III dish. This unit has the multiplexer built in. 4 cables coming into the house and each being used. Running 1 as High Def, so I use all the Sats.
I have noticed that the Directv Tivo machines require 2 input ( which makes sense since you need to swtich from horizontal to vertical if using both tuners).
I guess my question is , is the only way I will easily be able to provide the Tivo with 2 lines ( taking my required lines distributed in the house from 4 ot 5 lines) is to put in a cacading mutliswich IE: and 5X8 ??
I assume with most receivers that if I only send one cable to the receiver in the mean time ( while I change out and run additional line if necessary and install the cascaded multiplexer) that you can watch and record , but only one channel at a time).
Thanks,
