The frequencies are right and left hand polarized, not horizontal and vertical.

Correct. There are stacked solutions that may or may not apply to your situation but they can cost upwards of $700.

Correct. I think the receiver's initial settings are for a single connection. Either way, it takes a few minutes to re-do the guided setup and change the number of inputs.
