I currently have a Xantech Dinky Link, IR Repeater controlling my equipment rack. I also have a Lutron Spacer IR dimmer. But the light dimmer is in the back of the room and I want to be able to control it but still point the remote towards the front where the Dinky Link sits atop my RPTV. What's the best way to a signal to the back of the room? The IR Repeater is near the equipment rack to the side of the room? I'm not opposed to running wire since the wall is exposed from the outside of the room (I kept a soffit open so I could run additional wiring). Thanks for any suggestions.

How about a mirror?


Just get a couple of little black boxes from Xantech and run a 2 wire to the back and attach an IR emitter

The lutron spacer accepts an IR blaster in the back of the dimmer. Just run another IR blaster from your IR connection block to the back of the dimmer.

Thanks CJO. That's what I did. Ran cat5 to extend the IR to the back of the room. And purchased the Lutron that support IR pass thru in the back of the unit.

No problem. Wish I had know you needed another dimmer. I have 6 that I'm trying to sell!
