I'm using one of those quiet Panasonic bathroom fans for ventilation in the HT. But, it's still not quiet enough.
I plan on building a sort of hush box around, with the bottom part of the box extending down from the ceiling about a foot, and with some baffles in the part that's hanging down. I will build the box from leftover particle board and 5/8" sheetrock, with GG between the particle board and sheetrock.
A question for anyone who has worked with GG before. Would it be better to line the interior and baffles of this two-layer, open ended box with Linacoustic, or to use a second layer of sheetrock (with a second layer of GG)?
